We purchase the highest grades of proteins and vegetables possible, while keeping our program prices affordable. Our foods are not exclusively organic and/or grass-fed. Our foods are, however, sourced through the best local and national vendors in the area. You can place an order through our Web site for either pick-up or delivery, or you may place an order in person or over the phone. It depends on your order. If you purchased a subscription-based product then YES, your order is recurring. Billing will take place the same day each week as it was ordered (example: If your initial order was placed on Tuesday, each week you will be billed on Tuesday). If you ordered a one-time purchase product, you will only be billed once.
We offer both pick-up and delivery options. goalFOOD ’s drivers currently deliver directly to our clients on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a $10 or $20 weekly charge for deliveries, depending on the distance from our location in Cranston. We deliver throughout all of Rhode Island, most of Massachusetts, parts of Southern New Hampshire, and parts of Eastern Connecticut. We offer a five-week rotating entrée menu to provide constant variety. We make ten different entrée recipes each week, and a hot breakfast recipe each week. Each box is based on entrees for six days. Our lean protein sources are chicken, turkey, beef, pork, and fish, and the vegetable and starches vary with the changing recipes. If you dislike a particular protein that we use, you have the option to omit it from your plan and have them replaced with more of the proteins that you prefer. We always offer a selection of entrees at our Cranston café store, so you can grab your favorites and go. There are also high-protein smoothies, muffins, fresh salads and beverages available for your convenience.
Veggies that have been cooked and then flash frozen have a tendency to retain water. Once the veggies start to defrost, water will be released from the product and may pool in the container. Some veggies retain and release more water than others. This water is not harmful, you can either drain the excess water from the container prior to eating, or you can reheat the meal thoroughly and much of this water may be absorbed by other ingredients.
YES – We can manage to the 8 major allergens as specified by the USDA; Milk, Eggs, Fish, Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Soy. Simply tell us what your allergies are and we will make the proper adjustments to your box of food. There is also a complete list of ingredients included on the nutrition panel for every meal.
Yes we have a 10 recipe Select Menu which is always available and allows you to pick and choose any meals you would like. You are also able customize your order to accommodate food allergies or protein preferences.
Yes. To preserve freshness and to allow us to supply you with a week’s worth of healthy meals, all our products are blast chilled, portioned, capped, then frozen to ensure the highest quality product when you receive your food.
We recommend storing entrees and hot breakfasts in your freezer until 24-48 hours before you’re ready to eat them. At this point, you can move them from your freezer into your refrigerator to thaw, and gently heat them either in the microwave, in a skillet, or in the oven in an oven-safe container to your desired temperature. All entrees are fully cooked, so you do not need to cook them again, simply reheat them, or enjoy them from a thawed state.
You can reheat our dishes to your preference. All our packages are 100% recyclable, BPA-free, dishwasher safe, microwave safe and heat-rated to 250°F. This means you can microwave our containers, as well as cook in the oven at any temperature below 245°F. If you choose to use the oven, we recommend placing a thawed container into the oven for 25-30 mins at 235°F for that ‘just-out-of-the-oven’ taste. For dishes that would traditionally be stir-fried, the skillet is another option. Cook on medium-high for 6-10 mins with a small amount of non-stick spray to reheat.
Yes. Our labels are made from heat transfer material, so when exposed to high levels of heat they could experience a change in color. The labels are safe to use in the microwave, but they may experience discoloration during heating.
Please recycle or wash and reuse the containers. This way, you can try to recreate some of our meals on your off-day to get a better understanding of proper portion control on your own or try to create a healthy dish that you haven’t seen on our menu. (We are not able to accept returned containers per food safety requirements.)
goalFOOD ’s subscription service does not require a commitment, so you can suspend or cancel your subscription at any time. The request must be made 24 hours prior to your next billing date by contacting a member of the customer care team. For example; If you are billed on Tuesdays, the request to skip or cancel must be placed 24 hours prior to your next Tuesday billing. Any requests to suspend or cancel made outside of the instructions stated above will be subject to a restocking fee of $25.
